As the sun starts showing its face a bit more (finally), and social calendars fill up with garden parties, hen dos, baby showers and the odd “we survived Monday” gathering, there’s one thing guaranteed to make any occasion feel fancy: Afternoon Tea. Fast forward to now, and we’re still doing our thing – one lovingly packed box at a time. Oh, and VE Day 2020? We partnered with the council to deliver Afternoon Teas to 92 residents in sheltered housing – every box carefully labelled with allergens (safety first!) and hand-delivered with military-level coordination by our team and some absolute legend volunteers. Four hours. Two chefs. Refrigerated vans. Zero people left out.

Just this week, a lovely lady rang up to ask about her delivery for three. She said, “It’s probably too small to matter…” (cue dramatic gasp). We quickly set her straight. It was for her elderly mum who’d just come home from hospital – a surprise to lift her spirits. When the box arrived, she sent a message: “Everything looks delicious.” And that's part of why we still provide this service for such small numbers since lockdown.
